SPRING, Texas — The days following Christmas are usually filled with laughter, family meals, and memories in the making. For the Spivey family, those days have instead been marked by silence, grief, and unanswered questions.

Eighteen-year-old Michael Spivey, a student at Klein Collins High School, was found dead in his bedroom the day after Christmas. What initially shocked his loved ones became even more devastating when an autopsy confirmed Michael’s death was a homicide.

Investigators say there were no signs of forced entry or a struggle inside the home. Detectives believe Michael left the house earlier that evening, but they still do not know who he returned with—or what happened in the hours before his death. More than a month has passed, and no arrests have been made.

For Michael’s family, time has not brought closure—only deeper pain.

Those who knew Michael describe him as a young man full of promise, with his entire future ahead of him. He was a son, a student, and a teenager just beginning to step into adulthood. Instead, his life was taken under circumstances that remain unclear, leaving his family stuck between grief and disbelief.

“This tragedy has completely shattered our family,” relatives have shared, urging anyone with information to come forward. They believe someone out there knows something—perhaps a detail that seemed small at the time but could now be crucial.

As the weeks continue to pass, Michael’s family holds onto hope—hope that the truth will come out, and that justice will follow. Their questions remain painfully simple: Who was with Michael that night, and what happened when he came home?

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Harris County Sheriff’s Office. For the Spivey family, justice for Michael is not just about answers—it’s the only way forward.
