Consider the scenario: You receive a promising job offer, meet all pre-employment criteria, only to later receive an unexpected text message from an unknown sender stating that there is an issue with your drug test. Marcus Davis experienced just that.

The oil and gas industry, a sector often synonymous with power, wealth, and opportunity, harbors a shadowy secret that has left countless individuals feeling powerless and marginalized. Among these individuals is a growing number who have fallen victim to the insidious practice of racially biased and inaccurate hair follicle drug testing, perpetuated by companies like Disa Global Solutions and Psychemedics.

For those unfamiliar, hair follicle drug testing involves analyzing a small sample of hair to detect the presence of various illicit substances. While touted as a reliable method for screening potential employees, the reality is far from straightforward. In recent years, an alarming trend has emerged, exposing the inherent flaws and biases embedded within these tests.

Marcus Davis recounts his harrowing experience of being unjustly terminated and subsequently blackballed from the industry based on the results of a hair follicle drug test taken with DISA Global Solutions. Despite possessing irrefutable evidence disproving the allegations, his pleas for justice have fallen on deaf ears. Davis’ experience sheds light on the deficiencies within drug testing procedures and the serious repercussions of false positives.

Determined to combat the injustice, Davis has embarked on an unyielding quest to clear his name with the support of Civil Rights Activist Quanell X.

Beyond his personal ordeal, Marcus Davis’s challenging experience with DISA illustrates the dangers of flawed drug testing protocolsthat wield significant influence over people’s lives. False positive hair follicle drug tests can have devastating consequences, subjecting innocent individuals to unwarranted scrutiny and stigma. The reliance on imperfect testing methods highlights the urgent need for reform to protect the rights of individuals like Davis.

What makes this tale all the more troubling is the extensive history of complaints, claims, and lawsuits leveled against companies like Disa Global Solutions and Psychemedics. A quick search reveals a litany of legal battles accusing these entities of negligence, false positive results, defamation, discrimination, and other egregious misconduct. The sheer volume of grievances underscores a systemic failure that demands urgent attention.

Yet, the question remains: How have these companies managed to operate with impunity for so long? The answer lies in a complex web of corporate interests, regulatory loopholes, and societal indifference. Despite the undeniable harm inflicted upon countless lives, the issue has largely remained confined to the shadows, shielded from the scrutiny it so desperately deserves.

It is time to shine a spotlight on this injustice and demand accountability. The victims of these discriminatory and unethical practices deserve justice, restitution, and above all, a voice. Davis’ serves as a sobering reminder of the pervasive inequities that continue to plague our society, even within the confines of seemingly untouchable industries.

I want to encourage Mr. David to stay in the fight for justice. Justice delayed is not justice denied. There are far to many companies like DISA Solutions that believe they’re too big to fail and because of their size and revenue they can just annihilate the small guy. This is the First nited States of America for God’s sake! It is my hope and prayer that Mr. Davis’s reputation be fully restored, that he be reinstated in his job and compensated for lost wages, be made completely whole, receive double for all the trouble, monies, pain and suffering he and his family endured due to this obvious wrong.

  2. LeVonda Davis

This is a total injustice. I pray Mr. Davis receives ample compensation and an apology for all he has been falsely subjected to. I imagine this happens to hundreds of others who feel helpless coming up against such a huge company. I applaud Mr. Davis bravery. I will be looking into this Disa company. I pray he is made whole.

  3. Yes Disa screwed me around also . They never retested my sample upon request . And no one to call to check only a number to call for drug class and extort a payment . Also with Disa only rechecking the same hair folical from the hair of the false positives… Not a retest ? But wait I thought a hair folical went back 3 -6 months? 🤔
But yet no work black balling me with any Refinery company that has a Disa contract under they’re Hair folical system..playing the roll of Godfather and the only way to go back to work is to admit to guilt when not even guilty the flaw is in they’re system.. and extort me for money to admit my guilt just to go back to work! I’m not doing it because I’m not guilty…. Disa is the biggest Con and Scam being ran on all Americans and should not be ignored! The BBB should have closed them down with over millions in lawsuits and complaints of the false positives they give ! But the catch is they are in the oil and gas industry meaning big buck whales in a ocean and your the little guppy! … There’s nothing we can do no turning point nothing in place #1 first off if I test positive for a drug test at Mc Donald’s..then why are you blackballing me from Wendy’s ,Frenchies ,Popeyes, Burger King , Waffle House, Walmart ext… you get the point! And this is exactly what they’re doing and must be stopped!!!!! That company paid for my drug test and Disa used my information with out my permission to make determination of none hiring to all other employees under false positive allegations to a flaw inside of they’re corrupt organization
Scam artist, a sham a bamboozle , the magical disappearing job trick ! This company is no other than the wizard 🪄 of OZ with its foolery lies and betrayal to the American citizens…. And this company is not even from the Great USA !!!! It’s from some little hut 🛖 overseas! Wagering a war on us the American citizens ask how they got ran outta California! Ask how they keep getting busted and running from state to state go ahead ask ! And you shall find .

This is such a tragedy that things like this can happen and seems like they get swept under the rug. Praying for Mr. Davis and his family!

  5. This happened to my husband and we are currently in the process of attempting to clear his name. Unfortunately, when you have a billion dollar company, who seems to not lose any court cases, getting his name cleared has been difficult, even with 2 negative tests that we paid out of pocket in between the 2 positives. Sadly, when you go to these required classes, you are pushed to sign a form admitting guilt and of course these DISA approved facilities claim to “get you back in the job in no time”, so many rather sign than go another day jobless. It’s horrible! They don’t care about the families they are hurting. We’ve had to live on one income knowing well my husband is not a drug addict. Even the MROs treat you horrible when giving you the results. They speak down to you— I wish there was a way to report them to the medical board.

      Hi Denise,
Kennard law firm is putting a lawsuit together. Please go join the Facebook group called ‘DISA Global Solution (Workers harmed by false positive drug tests)’. There are many many people joining and hoping to make this a class action.

  6. This is my story” On Wednesday,May 31 2023, I was selected for a random hair follicle drug test for my job as a contract employee for Dow chemicals in seadrift Texas. On that day I went and took my drug test, just as I have MANY times before in the 8 straight years I have worked at this facility. I didn’t think twice about it and went about my normal work and family business. On Monday June 5th, I got a call from my Kelly safety representative stating I needed to contact a telephone number concerning this drug test. I called that number and it was to an MRO (medical review officer)that worked for University Services. The doctor asked me about what prescriptions I take and any recent surgical procedures I have had. I gave him the information. He then informed me that my hair follicle drug test had a positive result for cocaine and that was the end of the conversation basically. I contacted my Kelly safety representative and told him what the MRO stated. I was instructed at that time to pack up my stuff from my office leaving all company equipment there and instructed me to call him back when I was out of the plant so he could have my badge deactivated. I was also given another number to call to another organization called DISA global solutions after I left the plant. At this point, as I’m driving home, my head is spinning and I don’t understand what is going on. I called the number as I was told to and it was a company called DISA return to work department. I was greeted with an automated message saying to leave a message with my name and phone number and they would contact me in 24-48 hours. The next day on Tuesday I went and took my own independent hair follicle drug test. The results came in that Thursday and were all negative of course. I still had not received a phone call from DISA return to duty at this point. In the process I am updating my safety rep and my company leadership as to what is going on. My safety rep finally had to make a phone call to his contact in DISA to escalate this because I had informed him that my independent drug test had resulted in a negative result for all drugs. Finally on Friday June 9th I received a call from DISA return to duty. I stated to them that I took an independent test and it’s negative for all drugs and that I would like them to retest me right away and get me back to work. The lady on the phone stated that wasn’t their policy and that they would contact the lab that processed the test and see if they had enough hair to test again. I rebuked that and said that sample was obviously tainted or corrupted in some fashion and told her again I want a retest. She again stated that wasn’t their policy. She stated that my only chance at this point was to get a reconfirmation of the original sample. She said she would get back to me after confirming with the lab that there was enough hair left and would be sending me a form to fill out. So to have double proof that I don’t do drugs I went and had another independent hair follicle test done on June 9th. On Monday, June 12th I received the form and filled it out and on Tuesday I received a phone call to make payment of $180 to “reanalyze” the sample. On June 13th I received the results of my 2nd independent test and they were of course all negative for any drugs. Here is where the waiting game really starts. I didn’t receive a call back from DISA with my “reconfirmation” until June 30th. They stated that my sample was still positive for cocaine. Now the only recourse I have is to go through a DISA approved substance abuse program and pay them more money that I don’t have just to get my status back to active in their system. Mind you, almost all chemical plants, refineries, oil and gas & energy facilities employ DISA as their third party drug testing company. I can’t work anywhere until my status is back to active. I have worked in this industry for 28 years and never had a problem like this. I started researching DISA and there are many people that have been affected (false positive drug tests) by this and lost their jobs. I have now personally talked to 6 people in the same situation that I am in right now including one from the same facility I work at and took her drug test on the same day I did at the same collection facility. This is wrong and they are and have destroyed so many peoples lives. There needs to be a serious investigation into these collection facilities all the way through the labs and DISA. People can’t live like this and the emotional and mental torture we are suffering has to end.“

DISA is pure evil and needs to be abolished

    1. I most definitely agree!!! This is sad on all levels! To be judge, jury, and executioner over someone’s livelihood isn’t fair! I heard of some of these crazy stories by some of the guys and didn’t believe it cause u would think there’s no way they couldn’t at least allow them a second chance!!! I pray for those who became victims of Disa’s neglect and oversight of fairness!!!

  8. I have heard a lot of horrible stories involving this company DISA and how they have negatively impacted so many lives. This is so sad and very unprofessional! I can only imagine the impact this has had on Mr.Davis, his family and so many others.I really hope and pray he finally gets the justice he deserves..

    1. I pray justice will be served. How many lives has DISA false positive tests have destroyed. This young man’s story reads like a fictional nightmare. I’m sure he will prevail.

  9. I hope justice is served!! I heard a lot about this company and how they mistreat people and breaks numerous of laws!!!

  10. Same happened to me. Took a hair test. And came back positive. I never done drugs.. could it be covid? I had covid month before i took the test, i had lost my sense of smell and taste when i had covid.. now I can’t work close to home because most use disa for drug screening

  11. My son took a pre employment drug screen at DISA (June 2024). It came back positive for marijuana. He doesn’t use. He immediately went to another lab and took a hair test. This test came back Negative. He then went to third lab and took another hair test. This test also came back negative. However due to a positive test in the DISA system he will not be able to find employment in the oil and chemical industry. DISA will not consider results from other labs. He has had to go through the return to work program in order to get active in their system. There really needs to be something done about the ultimate control DISA has over people’s ability to work. A person who receives a positive result from a DISA test should be able to prove that they are “clean” with additional negative lab tests from other facilities.

  12. This is such an important and concerning topic! False positives in drug testing can have serious consequences, and it’s frustrating to see companies like Global Solutions failing to address them properly. Your post does a great job of highlighting the issue and explaining how it impacts individuals. I especially appreciated the emphasis on the need for better transparency and accountability in drug testing processes.
