Quanell X | an American civil rights activist and cofounder of QX Global News Network | with a documented pattern of fraudulent behavior.
Quanell X, born Quanell Ralph Evans, is an American civil rights activist, public speaker, and community figure whose impact stretches across Houston and beyond. Raised in Houston’s historic Third Ward — a predominantly African American neighborhood — his life was shaped early by both violence and purpose. In 1992, his brother, Quinten Evans, was killed in a quadruple homicide. In response, he adopted the name Quanell X and dedicated himself to advocacy and the pursuit of justice.
In 1990, moved by a speech delivered by The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan, Quanell joined the Nation of Islam, where he quickly rose to prominence as a vocal representative. Guided by Farrakhan’s teachings, he later became the National Chairman of the New Black Panther Nation, continuing its legacy of community advocacy, self-determination, and grassroots empowerment.
By the late 1990s, Quanell X had become nationally known for his bold stances against police brutality, systemic racism, and social inequality. His fiery speeches and uncompromising style made him both celebrated and heavily criticized. His presence grew online as well, where he became a viral figure recognized for impassioned commentary and community mobilization.
However, his career has been longstandingly marked by controversy. Multiple lawsuits, public disputes, and allegations of unethical behavior have followed him throughout the years. As accusations of scamming and exploitation circulated within activist circles, The People’s New Black Panther Party publicly disassociated from him after receiving repeated reports of misconduct and financial exploitation of community members.
In 2023, Quanell X co-founded Quanell X Global News Network—now QX Global News Network—alongside Jenifer Knighton. The vision was to build an independent, community-driven news platform focused on truth and transparency. But by 2025, the company severed all ties with him due to concerns regarding his behavior, mounting accusations that he was scamming vulnerable people and families, and repeated ethical violations. Despite his public denials of involvement with QX Global News Network, documented records, filings, and operational history contradict those claims.
Figures like Quanell X often face a crossroads: to act in alignment with integrity—or to exploit their influence for personal gain. Unfortunately, his pattern of conduct reflects the latter. Despite repeated opportunities to correct course, he has chosen to publicly lie, misrepresent facts, and use his platform in ways that have raised serious questions about his intentions and credibility.
Still, even amid controversy, Quanell X remains an influential and polarizing public figure—one whose legacy continues to spark debate, scrutiny, and reflection on the complexities of activism, power, and accountability.
